The Beginning and the End

Today has been a very busy day. We started the morning at Kindergarten Graduation. A fun event (30 minutes) filled with songs, cute 6 year olds, and cookies. This kindergarten class numbered 136, it is the largest class in the school, next year there are less that 100 students registered. They will graduate in 2020. They are the first class that was born after 9-11, definitely born into a new world. It is amazing that Kincade is ready to go to school all day next year.

The rest of the day centered around
Kaitlyn's graduation. We had to have her dressed and beautiful to the
Marriot Center by 11:30 and started
our 3 hour sitting event. It was a very
nice program, relatively short speeches and beautiful musical numbers. It is still a little hard to believe that she is truly old enough to be at this stage in her life. We are so proud of her and the things that she has accomplished in her life so far and know that there are many great things to come. It has been quite the adventure these past few weeks, full of visits to the counseling office and a scholarship offer to Wyoming. She has some major decisions to make in the near future. We are so thankful to have her as our daughter.

Awards Dinner

Brian and I attended the high school fine arts award dinner last night. A pasta dinner in the gym at the school, it just doesn't get better than that. Each of the teachers gave their service awards for their specific groups before we divided into smaller groups. We were so excited as the Drama teacher, Mrs. Broberg, started describing the person who would receive the award this year. She said that this person had gone above and beyond the normal work expected, had helped clean and organize the box and hanging rooms and worked to keep her sane throughout this year. It was my Kaitlyn! I am so proud of the woman that she is becoming, I can't believe that we will be sitting graduation in a week. I am pretty sure I was rocking her to sleep in the basement of Grandma Rose's house just a few minutes ago. Kaitlyn and Krystal both received a key chain for being stage managers this year. Krystal is just beginning her high school drama saga. I see many more trips to the high school in my future. True to form Kristopher also had his final choir concert last night, Becki and Brandon were kind enough to tape it for us so we will be able to enjoy the Beatles songs that were sung. The little ones are looking forward to field day and all day reading marathons, and then no more school for a few months. YEA!! I am trying to follow my wise Mother's advice and enjoy every stage of my children's lives, even though I feel like I as losing my mind most days. I am so thankful for my wonderful family.

This is the update, by Kaitlyn.

This is the update for the Karns family.

Let's start with dad. He has been working very hard at days market, so hard in fact that he is once again helping with things he shouldn't worry about. This resulted in him getting sung by three, yes three bees while he was helping unload flowers. For those of you who are intelligent and know that my father is allergic to bees you can help us come up with ideas to explain why on earth he was doing this!!!
Now on to mother. She is mostly just playing Taxi and running around crazily. She is trying to get the study clean and though she doesn't think so she has made great progress.
Kaitlyn is trying to deal with all her end of the year stuff. She gets to go to Lagoon for senior sluff day tomorrow and has her drama awards banquet on wed. She is working on finals for Mythology and Spanish AP which involve her filming videos. She graduated from seminary this last Sunday with all four years thank you very much. Her High School graduation is Friday May 30 at 12:30 in the Marriott Center. Yea, for long boring speeches that are sure to come. Kaitlyn would like to mention that she and her mother are very exited to go to Disney land in a couple of weeks!!!!

Krystal is trying to get all her classes for next year figured out. She will be taking two drama classes and Kaitlyn takes full credit for giving her the drama bug. insert evil laughter here. Anyway she is enjoying high school for the most part except she doesn't like to get up in the morning. She is helping Ms. Broberg with even more technical stuff and even though she complains about it we all know she likes it.

Kristopher is preparing for his final choir concert where he will be singing a solo from the Beatles. This concert will be on Wed. He is trying to get a role in the summer production of charlie and the chocolate factory at the Hale Center Theatre.

Kaleb is ready for summer and wants to go to St George as soon as he can. He is exited for his end of the year party mostly because he wont have to deal with his teacher Ms. Pagan anymore.
Kimberly is exited for sports day where she wants to run the fifty yard dash. She also want to paint some art projects that she has been working on.
Kincade is crazy and has way to much energy for the rest of us. He cant wait to go to all day to school like the big kids do next year. He loves making messes and being a dork but it is a good thing he is so cute or he might not have survived.
Heidi is acting really weird. Ever since we went to St. George she has wanted to go on car rides. If she get out the door she will go wait by the car door till someone opens it and she will then jump in.

All righty that about does it for us Karnes. That looks weird but oh well.

I don't even go to this school!

I counted, and I made 20, yes 20 trips to the high school this week. Krystal was the stage manager for a dance production and Kaitlyn had rehearsal for the musical review that will be held next week. Krystal will also be the stage manager for this production, the drama teacher now owns her, and she still hasn't taken a single drama class. Next year she has enrolled in 2, hopefully she will be able to drive herself, though I think my car might be able to make it there all by itself. Teenagers!! It is so fun to see them be involved in all of these fun things, but seriously I am getting worn out. 19 more days of school, 19 more days of school, I am trying to talk myself into the strength to carry on.

Krystal made me do it

I'm in the blogosphere now, Krystal thought it was time to create a blog for our family, so here we go. Krystal chose our blog name but I must admit it is very true. Krazy is spelled incorrectly on purpose, all six of my children ( Krystal is number 2) have names that begin with K and our last name also begins with K.
More later after my children help me figure all of this out.
